MAN TGE (2017-2023) 9-inch Perfect Fit Stereo Fitting Kit (With Steering Controls)

This MAN TGE 9-inch Perfect Fit stereo fitting kit allows selected 9-inch aftermarket stereos to be installed into compatible MAN TGE 2017-2023 models with factory steering wheel audio controls.

The kit provides the main fitting parts required to replace the original factory radio with a compatible 9-inch Perfect Fit stereo while retaining key original vehicle functions. It includes a 10.1-inch fascia adapter, 10.1-to-9-inch step-down mounting plate, CAN-Bus steering wheel control Infoadapter, double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with phantom power and universal patch lead.

This fitting kit is compatible with selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos including the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, Alpine INE-AX809 and Kenwood DMX80AXS. These 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos are usually much shallower than conventional 2-DIN stereos, meaning less work is usually required behind the dashboard. This can help reduce installation time and is useful for both professional fitters and retail customers carrying out a stereo upgrade.

The 10.1-inch fascia adapter is supplied with a 10.1-to-9-inch step-down mounting plate, allowing a compatible 9-inch Perfect Fit head unit to sit neatly within the original dashboard opening. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, the fascia helps retain the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard after the factory stereo has been removed.

The supplied CAN-Bus Infoadapter retains the use of the original steering wheel audio controls with a compatible aftermarket stereo. It also retains phone button functionality, vehicle settings menus, parking sensor audio and parking sensor graphics where supported by the vehicle and head unit.

The included universal patch lead is suitable for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and other steering wheel remote ready head units, making this kit suitable for selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos from Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood.

This stereo upgrade fitting kit contains:

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Double Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

The phantom power feed terminates in a junior timer receptacle terminal to make it easy to connect into the electric antenna turn on position of a standard ISO connector. We also have this part available with a male bullet connector to make the phantom power lead easier to connect to ISO cables and steering wheel control interfaces with a female bullet connection for the electric antenna turn on, the 21-139K.

Steering wheel control Infoadapter interface

This interface allows the use of the Steering Wheel audio controls, as well retaining the vehicle menus when installing an aftermarket head unit.

Steering wheel control Infoadapter interface

Universal patch lead for 29-CT series steering controls. Suitable for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and Chinese head-units that are steering wheel remote ready.

This cable plugs into the Steering wheel control box and into either the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the head-units. Follow instruction to cut loops if needed.
